Nightscout¶

Nightscout is an excellent tool for remotely viewing Trio actions. Nightscout can act as a stand-alone tool or be integrated with Trio. (Nightscout integrates with many open-source hybrid closed loop systems such as Loop, OpenAPS, AndroidAPS and Trio.)

When integrated with Trio, Nightscout provides monitoring of Trio activities such as viewing history of glucose, carbs, boluses, temp basals and overrides; troubleshooting Trio errors; and provides extensive reports for analyzing data trends and patterns. These reports assist when Trio Therapy Settings need to be adjusted.

For caregivers, Nightscout enables remote monitoring and even the ability to issue remote commands through Nightscout when both Trio and Nightscout are properly configured. If you add LoopFollow, those same remote commands can be issued from the caregiver's LoopFollow phone with better connectivity and feedback than using Nightscout alone.
