Overrides¶
What is an Override?¶
An Override is a set of parameters you can place on Trio temporarily. With an Override, you can alter a variety of variables to increase or decrease insulin delivery:
- Basal Rate Adjustment
- Inversely change ISF, CR, or both
- Override Target
- Disable SMBs
- Override Max SMB Minutes
- Set a time frame for the override or enable indefinitely until you cancel
There are multiple cases when an Override may be useful. Below you will find a few examples. This list is not all-inclusive and you may find additional uses for Overrides as you use Trio.
In addition to Overrides, Trio also has a more automated, less customizable feature called Temporary Targets.
How Do I Set an Override?¶
Overrides can be found under the Adjustments tab at the bottom of the Trio app screen.
You can also find your saved Overrides listed here.
Overrides can be set remotely using Loop Follow or automated using Shortcuts.
